Full Advisory Text
Warning Description: Areal Flood Watch

Warning Date: 8:55 PM EDT on May 5, 2013

WarningSum:...Flood Watch Remains In Effect Until 7 Am Edt Monday...

Warning Message:The Flood Watch continues for
* portions of central Georgia...north central Georgia...
northeast Georgia...northwest Georgia and west central
  Georgia.
* Until 7 am EDT Monday
* periods of rain will continue across north and central Georgia
tonight. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches have already fallen
across the area since early Saturday morning. These rains have
already caused flooding along several streams and rivers across
north Georgia. An additional 0.5 to 1 inches of rainfall is
expected through tonight. As a result...the threat of minor
  flooding will continue through tonight.
* Localized flash flooding will be possible if the heavy rain
repeatedly moves over the same area. Also...storm drains...
ditches...and low lying areas may become quickly clogged with
debris and cause extensive street flooding.
Widespread minor flooding of the larger creeks or rivers will
continue with the expected storm total rainfall amounts. Although
the Flood Watch will likely be allowed to expire Monday morning...
flood warnings for specific streams...creeks...and rivers will be
ongoing through mid week.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
